The Hamptons Visitors Council (HVC) is an alliance established in 1990 of Chambers of Commerce in The Hamptons, Long Island, New York, whose purpose is to promote tourism, especially in the spring and fall, to The Hamptons. Today, it is comprised of six chambers in the Town of Southampton – Eastport, Greater Westhampton, East Quogue, Hampton Bays, Southampton and Sag Harbor.
 
The board of directors is made up of four volunteer members from each chamber appointed by each Chamber board. Our funding comes from individual Chamber dues contributions, direct support from Southampton Town, as well as from individual business sponsors and matching funds from the Long Island Convention & Visitors Bureau and Sports Commission (LICVBSC).
 
We work with each Chamber and the LICVB to plan and execute advertising, promotions and public relations that will benefit our area. The HVC is a vital link between the tourism efforts of the Town, each Chamber and the far-reaching programs of the LICVB and Empire State Development Corporation- Division of Tourism. For instance, we are a resource for government on regional tourism matters that affect the business community, such as tourism centers and other economic development issues. We also provide a network for communication between the Chambers of Commerce.      
 
We are a group of volunteer professionals and one salaried part-time director that is dedicated to the advancement of a healthy economy on the East End of Long Island through the promotion of tourism, a leading industry in the region.
